We were crushed, the air literally sucked out of our chest as we received that call everyone dreads! As a man, who was driving on his 7th suspended license, and was concentrating on his cell phone, he and his large SUV ran the red light at 22nd Street and Harrison early one April Tuesday morning and broadsided my daughters sedan.
This person instantly killed our 4-year old daughter, cousin and granddaughter, Caia Nicole by snapping her spinal cord. Additionally, he killed our Bride of 40-years, mother and Grandmother, Lorrie. Lorrie was killed as a result of numerous injuries, as her entire pelvic region was shattered, every rib broken, along with both lungs being collapsed. And then, Lorries daughter and Caias mother, Casie Lea suffered a broken pelvic and a broken rib, and turned right around the next day, while still in such anguish of just losing her best friend and mother, and her daughter, and delivered a 9 lb. 2 oz. baby girl named Camerin.
What do we do? How often do families such as ours deal with such tragedy and loss? Who do we turn to? Who in the world could even guide us through the very next move? We were devastated and overwhelmed, with only a desire to catch our breath!
Elliot Glicksman, PLLC; and his family of employees came into our lives!!!
Upon contacting Elliot (recommended) he immediately drove to our home and met with our family and he instantly expressed concern for all that our families had suffered through. Business arrangements were a secondary concern for this man! He gave us guidance on what should take place next, gave us an overview of what was to come, and proceeded to let us know that he would care for us! Through this experience which took place in our living room our families instantly knew Elliot DID CARE!
This care did not end with Elliot. Every time we had a need to meet with Elliot in his office our entire family was blessed with care by his entire team. And as far as having to deal with the insurance companies that were involved with this tragic accident our families not once had to enter into that fray as Elliot completely absorbed that pain on our behalf. There was no incredible windfall for our families as a result of our loss, but instead, we experienced a windfall through Elliots experience and resolve in getting remuneration which was rightfully available for the children who were left without their treasured mother and daughter.
I am unable to give justice through this testimonial as to how well our families were treated by the Law Firm of Elliot Glicksman, PLLC, and what incredible intangible benefits we obtained, but what my family and I are willing to do is give Elliot permission to provide our name and number(s) to those who may have any questions concerning our experience with Elliot Glicksman, PLLC.
In closing not only can I give witness to Elliot (and his team) concerning his CARE, EXPERIENCE, and TENACIOUSNESS for his clients, but I can also give witness to our families subsequent friendship with and for Elliot, Carolyn and his entire team. Although suffering such incredible loss, we have gained greatly through our relationship with Elliot Glicksman, PLLC! We are on the road to healing and progressing Thank you Lord, and thank you to our sincere and caring Attorney!
My son was hit by a drunk driver in 2010. My son was on the edge of death for 30 days. During that time I contacted Mr. Glicksman to see if there was anything that could be done to help my son with his medical expenses. Mr. Glicksman did more than that. He was able to get the bills taken care of during my son's long recovery and stayed in touch with my whole family during the recovery process and beyond. He was able to get my son enough money from this accident to take care of him his entire life. He also went to court on my son's behalf to make sure that the woman that hit got what was coming to her without ruining her life also. I would recommend Mr. Glicksman to represent anyone in any legal matter.
Two weeks before Christmas I suffered a broken neck in a rollover car accident in New Mexico. I was transported by helicopter to the nearest trauma center, a hospital in El Paso, Texas. Within a week, with a halo device holding my head and neck in place, I was transferred by ambulance to a local hospital in Tucson. Five days later, I was released to home to recuperate in a hospital bed in my living room. I contacted Elliot Glicksman for legal representation. I had never met Elliot but I knew him by reputation and the recommendations of friends in the Tucson legal community.
On New Year's Eve afternoon, Elliot came to interview me. He was professional and empathetic. He quickly put me at ease as he gathered the information that I could provide and then he outlined what needed to be done and what his course of action would be. I knew immediately that I had made the right choice in engaging Elliot as my attorney.
As I healed, Elliot and his staff kept me informed of the progress of my various insurance settlements. Although the Texas trauma hospital advised me of my rights under Medicare when I was admitted, the hospital refused to submit my medical bills to Medicare in an effort to obtain higher fees. Elliot convinced the hospital administration and their lawyers that they needed to submit their billings to Medicare. Because of the efforts of Elliot and his staff I was able to focus on my recovery and was essentially worry-free concerning any legal issues. Within a few months, I was on my feet and the settlement was favorably resolved.
I could not have been happier with my choice of attorney; Elliot Glicksman is superb.
I have been fortunate enough to be one of Elliot Glicksman's clients this past year. Now that my case is successfully settled, I can move ahead with my life as I begin law school with a whole new appreciation for how an attorney can touch a client's life. He has given me an entirely new respect for our legal system. I was impressed at the way he methodically pieced together a case, using details I never would have thought significant. He meticulously constructed a case so strong that we reached a successful settlement out of court. His professional approach has greatly impacted my life and has also been an inspiration to pursue my studies with a new sense of how it is possible for an attorney to fight to truly protect a client's interests. I am very satisfied with the outcome.

When my family lost my sister none of us knew how to handle it. We thank God for putting Elliot Glicksman in our path. Mr.Glicksman was very caring about our whole family he looked out for our interest not only about money but made sure that the whole family was doing okay. He handled all our legal matters in the most professional way and made sure to explain the whole process to us. If we had any questions he or his staff were more then ready to answer us. He made sure to finish our case as fast as possible, he didn't try to take longer in order to get more money. Even after the case was over, he called us to see how the whole family was doing. Like I said before, Elliot Glicksman and his whole staff, are great- not just as a lawyer but as people. I am VERY thankful to Mr.Glicksman, and I don't think there could be a better lawyer in the time of need.
Negligent Security: Wrongful Death Settlement
Eight years ago the lives of my family were changed forever. My wonderful, bright, 23 year old niece was returning movies before there would be a late fee. She was carjacked and murdered. My sister, Lorri Papkoff-Brooks was almost catatonic in the year that followed. She could no longer work; she was on medication and was unable to find comfort in anything that she did. I knew that she wanted to bring litigation against the company that Amanda was returning the movies to. Neither she nor I had the energy to go forward with this. I mentioned to one of my children that nothing had been done and we were coming close to a year since this had happened. My daughter got back to me quickly to let me know that we could not file any charges after a year. With two weeks to go I was given Elliot's name by two other lawyers in Tucson. He realized the urgency and saw me within 48 hours of my call and by the end of the week everything was a go. After meeting my sister, Lorri, Elliot knew how difficult this would be and how emotionally frail she was @ that time. Never putting the outcome and possible chance of a court victory first, Elliot suggested that we go to mediation and not to court. He and I talked many times in the years between filing and actually going through mediation. Not once did he paint a picture that had greed or unattainable future in a conversation. Each and every time we talked Lorri was the most important thing and finding a way to solve the problem and not making her situation worse was in the forefront. Elliot helped me to secure a future for my sister, where if she can never work she will be OK. Elliot did that without damaging our family any more then it had already been. I truly believe that if I had not gone to Elliot that some other attorney could have and would have put greed before my sister and our family. In the years since going through and winning in mediation, I have called upon Elliot for his guidance, always, first he asks about Lorri and then he asks how can he help me, and he always does.
Have a great day

September 24, 2005 changed my family's lives forever. I was a victim of a tragic car accident in which I was critically injured and my husband was killed. I miraculously survived and in my long journey of recovery, I have incredible stories to tell. The one I am going to share with you is about a special person, Elliott Glicksman, who has helped me in ways he may not even realize.
I have to give you a little background first. My husband and I were coming home from renting a movie. We were five minutes away from home when a young man celebrating his 19th birthday drinking heavily at a party and on soma came crashing into us going approx. 90 mph. This happened at the intersection of Glenn and Mountain. The next morning my family was flown in from Chicago to take care of me and my two kids.
A few days later Homicide Survivors contacted my family as they heard of the tragedy and asked if they needed any assistance. They actually set up an appointment to meet with my family and Elliott happened to be present as he an active member. That is when my family found out that he was a lawyer and that he was already familiar with the case so they scheduled an appointment with him. Elliott was very experienced with dealing with large and intricate law suits and was willing to take our case. Both sides of my family found Elliott very personable, knowledgeable, and insightful and we agreed to retain him.
I heard Elliott came to see me while I was at ICU at University Medical Center, but being in a coma, I don't remember that part of my life. He came to visit me again at HealthSouth shortly before I was released in November of 2005. My family thought it was best I temporarily relocate to Chicago to undergo my therapy. Elliott's diligence continued. My family and I stayed in regular contact via phone and letters. One time, which I'll never forget, Elliott had to take a trip from Tucson to Milwaukee, connecting at Chicago Midway Airport, which is ten minutes away from where I was staying. My family and I took that as an opportunity to have him over for lunch. We also got a chance to catch up on some important issues. Elliott informed me it was only a matter of time before the other parties settled. It won't bring my husband back but it has given me financial security from the incredible medical bills and has provided funds for my for kids college education. I saw Elliott in a different light in Chicago - caring, funny, and down-to-earth. I also saw his concern toward those whose lives are entrusted to him. He always kept me informed of the progress of the case which eased my mind during this stressful time.
When I returned to Tucson six months later, I had more surgeries, more therapy and then the trial. With the support of family and friends I got stronger and stayed in touch with Elliott.
He encouraged me to give speeches along with him at various places on the dangers of drinking and driving. I agreed to that and we made a good team. He also set into motion my involvement with MADD which has become very rewarding for me.
So if you're a victim of a DUI, give Elliott a call and let him represent you. You'll be happy you did.
Sincerely - Donna McDermott

Our son Tim was killed by a drunk driver on Oct. 1, 2000. Soon thereafter we began researching wrongful death attorneys. We interviewed numerous attorneys until we found one who seemed ok. Before too long, we realized our choice was wrong, so we began hunting again. One day, after yet another interview that left us discouraged and cynical about lawyers, we phoned Elliot Glicksman's office from our car. He was working on another case but said he could talk with us, if we didn't mind that he was dressed in jeans. As soon as we met Elliot, we both knew we'd finally found the perfect attorney.
Looking back on the whole process, we marvel at how Elliot kept things moving while juggling countless details. He was so good about keeping touch by phone, and the number of face-to-face meetings was just right. Elliot always explained what was happening with our case, as well as what we could expect down the line, and he did so with such skill and kindness.
Elliot was a bulldog when dealing with our adversaries, never giving an inch. He was completely dedicated to us. Elliot didn't even take the fee percentage to which he was entitled. At the time, because we were so consumed by grief and still in shock, the money seemed unreal (like Monopoly money), and we didn't fully appreciate this incredible gesture.
In 2002, we moved to the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. Elliot's hard work on our behalf made this healing opportunity possible. We keep in touch with Elliot and his lovely wife a couple of times a year. Elliot remains passionate about his work, his family, and his friends, and his community service projects are too numerous to list. We are proud to call him our friend.

When our son David was hit by a delivery van and killed, we knew we had to find a really good lawyer. Our young grandson needed to be reimbursed for the lost of his Father. We were lucky, we found Elliot Glicksman. It is hard to explain how really excellent he is, he is smart, kind and never over bearing.
He will go to bat for you, find the right answers and see that you get a fair and just settlement.
